read_fits_partial

This IDL facility reads FITS file containing incomplete (polarized) sky map.

QUALIFIERS

File
name of a FITS file in which the map is to be written

Pixel
(OUT: INT, LONG or LONG64 vector of length $n_{\rm p}$),
index of observed (or valid) pixels

IQU
(OUT: FLOAT or DOUBLE array of size ($n_{\rm p}$, $n_{\rm c}$)),
value of I or I,Q,U signal in each observed pixel


KEYWORDS

COORDSYS=
(OUT, optional),
returns on output the astrophysical coordinate system used, as read from FITS header (value of keywords COORDSYS or SKYCOORD)

EXTENSION=
(IN, optional),
0 based number of extension to read. default:0

HDR=
(OUT, optional),
String array containing the primary header.

HELP=
(IN, optional),
if set, an extensive help is displayed, and no file is read

NSIDE=
(OUT, optional),
returns on output the HEALPix resolution parameter, as read from the FITS header. Set to -1 if not found

ORDERING=
(OUT, optional),
returns on output the pixel ordering, as read from the FITS header. Either 'RING' or 'NESTED' or ' ' (if not found).

UNITS=
(OUT, optional),
physical units of each column of the table (except PIXEL)

XHDR=
(OUT, optional),
String array containing the extension header.
